Hi Karen.....We loved listening to you again, this time at The Chase Room in the NJ PAC on May 16th, 2009
We are the couple that gave you the copy of the ticket from December 30th, 1979 when you were at Park West with the late great Peter Allen. You rocked the house then as you did last Saturday. I have a great candid picture of you on stage with the background of the huge picture window of downtown Newark. The light is shining down on you and your one hand is extended into the air, straight up as if you were reaching up to your Dad. I would love to send it to you. It truly is an unusually good picture.
If Paul or your manager could get in touch with me, I will gladly forward it to you.
You continue to incredibly entertain with your voice and your great personality!
Blessings,
Eileen & Bill Your "groupies" of 30 years! :p

Dear Karen - I first got to see you live back at Orphan's in Lincoln Park. You & Brian Lasser were very gracious to me when I was just starting out as a singer. Wish I could get into NY to see you live again someday. And I hope you are singing "Lorna's Here" at the Strouse concert in May. Your recording of that is utter sensuality. Thanks for being so great - my friends and I love listening to you here in Vienna!

The first time I saw Karen perform was in Chicago at a Lincoln Park bar on Clark Street. Le Pub was the name and from her first note, I was hooked. Her great humor and monster laugh kept me coming back. I would go to as many performances as I could. (I remember dragging friends to see her perform at a cabaret in the basement of a giant disco named Center Stage. I had talked Karen up big-time and then she performed the first number on hands and knees from underneath the grand piano. I think my friends got confused. I loved it.) Unfortunately for me, she and Brian moved to New York, but years later she came back to perform at Orphans on Lincoln Avenue. I was thrilled to go and even more when she recognized my face and smiled and waved at me.

Karen, you keep on keeping on! We love you!
